Goddess of Secrets is the lead guitarist of the all-girl band. Influenced by Hecate, the Greek goddess of magic, mystery, and the unseen, she represents spirituality, intuition, loyalty, and hidden emotions. Holding her guitar strapped on and gazing for silence, she symbolises untold stories, secrecy, and the power of inner knowledge. Inspired by punk, pop, and symbolic imagery to create a mystical yet rebellious goddess figure.

Process & development

sketch development

Initial sketch and development were used to explore the identity, symbolism, styling, and personality of the goddess figur. Through experimentation with composition, guitars, dramatic fashion styling, symbolic gestures, and punk-inspired accessories, the visual direction gradually evolved into a stronger theatrical and mystical aesthetic.

Painting process

I experimented with painting on transparent plastic sheeting and found the surface difficult to work on with acrylic paint. To improve the application of colour texture, I primed the base before applying acrylic paint. Enlarged printed images were placed underneath the transparent plastic templates, allowing me to trace and build layered compositions inspired by mystery, spirituality, music culture, and punk and rock influences. I also researched tattoos and makeup from the 80’s New Wave era, which I thought would look good on the goddess and match the theme.

installATION & PRESENTATION

For the final installation, the transparent plastic works were suspended from metal poles using cable ties, allowing the large-scale pieces to hang freely within the space and contribute to the immersive theatrical atmosphere of the project.
